Claire McCaskill is running for re-election in 2018.
I got a fundraising letter from her campaign yesterday. I hope the Missouri forum members will pitch in and help keep her in the US Senate! Visit her website Claire McCaskill. We need her Democratic voice in the Senate!

1. I would prefer someone more liberal
however, given the State and the demographics I suspect she is about as far left as one can hope to see at this point here.

2. I agree
She's better than any GOPee-er but that's a pretty low bar even a slug can hurdle.

4. I would as well.
I think she would be a more liberal Senator if the state politics would allow her to be, but in the environment she is in, I think she goes as far as she can. Given that she is the incumbent and likely the most viable Democrat to run, I'm happy to help her. And as another reply noted, she is FAR better than any troglodyte/GOPee-er would be. But, in a perfect world, yes, I would want someone more aligned to my views, ie progressive.

3. I sent her money last time and will do so again.
I would say her chances for re-election at the moment are maybe 35-40% but that will likely change hopefully in a positive direction. The amount of money corporate America will pour into Missouri to defeat her will be massive Claire is anything but liberal but she is our most reliable red-state senator at the moment. We desperately need to hold onto this seat.

5. Agreed!
I will be happy to campaign for her and support her financially, given the fight she faces against the Kocher/ALEC/Club for Growth cabal.

8. some have speculated Ann Wagner, there's no clear repuke candidate at this point
a late tRump endorser after being in the never tRump most of the campaign, Sam Graves and Vicky Hartzler have also been suggested, but they could all be in a contested repuke primary with some unknown tRumper
