St. Louis County, Missouri April 3rd Election Turnout

From the St. Louis County Board of Election Website showing unofficial results.

PRECINCTS COUNTED (OF 781). . . . . 781 100.00
REGISTERED VOTERS - TOTAL . . . . . 618,726
BALLOTS CAST - TOTAL. . . . . . . 91,646
VOTER TURNOUT - TOTAL . . . . . . 14.81

This was pretty much an election of school boards, local city councils and very few things of much drama to get folks excited enough to get out to vote. In my polling spot with 2 precincts the turnout was just over 7% for an uncontested city council seat and school board election. One nearby polling place showed only 0.64% turnout, while another was at 27%.

Hopefully folks will be more interested come November.

The inability to get people to vote and vote consistently and with informed intent is why we have slid all the way down the slippery slope into the sewer that Trump and his ilk inhabit.

Without a consistent, well-informed and engaged electorate, we get the government we deserve...the current shitshow and abhorrent gang of thieves, grifters and fools.

85% of the voters here did not care enough to show up at all.
85%.

Remember that when we are all stunned and staring into the abyss in a future November wondering, "how in the holy FUCK did THAT just happen?" Or allow the image to burn into your brain and commit to getting yourself and 5 other people to the polls in November. Hell, I may become an Uber driver for election day only...whatever we do, we MUST get people to the polls in November because when we show up en masse and vote, we win...otherwise...just look around.

I don't know if newspapers and online links posted anything on the upcoming elections before they happened but I was unaware of any elections coming up until they happened (I'm in the city of STLMO itself, we didn't have any elections). Thanks again.
