Luann Right to Work (for Less) Ridgeway was nominated by CWA Local 6360 for the esteemed title of 2011 "Kansas City Missouri Jobs with Justice Scrooge of the Year." Ms Ridgeway was nominated this year mainly for introducing Senate Bill 1, Right to Work (for Less), in the 2011 legislative session.
Ridgeways disdain of the human race doesnt end with Union Members though. In the Senate, she has fought to limit Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, promotes charter schools over public schools, wants to outlaw the Affordable Care Act in Missouri, and actually believes Women have children so they can collect more benefits from the state.
Ridgeway has a proven history of being the queen of mean and will live up to the title of Scrooge of the Year.
Thanks to everyone who came out and voted, campaigned, dressed up, took pictures and helped create a festive spirit at our annual Holiday party. The night never would have happened without the dozens of volunteers who picked up food, set up decorations, stocked and staffed the cash bar, sold merchandise, and hosted and staffed the fun candidate games. A special thank you to CWA Local 6355/ Missouri State Workers' Union President Bradley Harmon for emceeing the event. Sheet Metal Workers Local 2 deserve a special thank you for hosting the event at their union hall.
**Extra special thanks to all the supporters who signed up or increased their monthly sustaining donations for Missouri Jobs with Justice! You are building MO JwJ for the long haul!
