Can someone clarify something about Missouri and free things for black people?
A friend just told me that her daughter's friend said that HER friend said she was upset because one of her kids is black and that kid gets a lot of things free, like lunches and school supplies, because they are black. Things that the other 2 kids don't qualify for because they are white.
This friend of mine has shown racist behavior in the past. And she voted for Trump. I tried to Google the requirements in your state for Food stamps but it was a long PDF so forgive me but asking you guys is a lot easier.

1. Could it be?
that the child is a foster child or adopted?
Probably needless to say, but no, there are no state benefits especially for Black people. Quite the opposite, actually. |

2. Sounds like bullshit, racist talking points from hate radie or a rumor she picked up from another...
trumper. And free lunches are given out in many school jurisdictions. Nothing new about that, and not just to black kids. It's income-based.

4. Always beware...
of anecdotal bullshit. Some people are honest and sincere about their experiences, but this kind of word of mouth is also a tactic.
I am glad you are investigating it, though. Good going. It looks like you are getting so sound answers here. |

5. Never heard of it (and I live in STLMO) and if it was free, it would be offered to ALL kids...
Nothing like racism eh? I'd like to kick her a&& so pass this back to her, and tell her its from someone in STLMO. Tell her to maybe learn to read or something, and maybe go to school or pay attention, so she won't look so stupid and ignorant.

6. an "ARTICLE OF FAITH" for MANY
" Illegals", "Welfares" "Refugees" "Immigrants" "Foreign Students" get all sorts of privileges, money, free stuff, etc, while "poor, struggling" white people get BUPKUS!
This fits the self -image of MILLIONS of single parents and old farts - even when totally untrue! |

8. I hear this kind of thing often
from right wing relatives....
“They won’t give me food stamps because I’m not the right color.” “You have to be the right color to get a free Obamaphone.” “I’ll have to keep working until I drop because the government needs my taxes to buy free stuff for the non white people.” It’s all just right wing bullshit. Ask these whiners if they are so jealous of people of color who are getting “free stuff”, how would they like to trade places with them? That usually shuts them up. |

9. "FREE" things in STL
Well the local news run stories of school items that are given out to kids who need them to start school.
Said items are donated. People who “complain” about this are truly sad human beings. |

10. I can totally see
my conservative relatives complaining about food drives and school supply drives. They bitch about people having children they can’t afford and then they say these people expect handouts from everyone else. It is indeed sad how compassion is an alien concept to them. My sibling once said to me that kids who grow up getting “free stuff” grow up to be adults who expect “free stuff.” It is just mind boggling.

11. As a middle schooler thru high schooler
I was in all white schools in an all white town (yes, the town is racist AF. So much so that the klan marched thru town cuz President Clinton had the audacity to try to integrate the public housing in the town.) Every one of those schools had free lunch programs. It ain't no race thing. It has to do with income. Tell your friend to educate herself.
