Offices up for election or re-election
It's time to start a list, whether local, state, or federal. As long as it links back to Missouri it's a good idea to know who's up.
Who wants to start? (I'll keep editing this to add an actual list to the first post, if people are interested.)

1. Well, I guess I'll start with the obvious. McCaskill's up for re-election to the Senate.
Last edited Sat Jan 21, 2012, 02:41 PM - Edit history (1) Missouri lost a congressional seat in the census, so there will only be 8 House districts to run for. Mostly, the district that went away was Russ Carnahan's District 3 in St. Louis. Akin is expected to try to run for Senate, in which case Carnahan might run for the 2nd, though it is more conservative, being composed of the wealthier western parts of STL and its exurbs. But apparently he hasn't decided for sure whether to do this, or instead challenge Clay in the primaries for the 1st district.

2. I'm hoping for more posts here.
We have plenty of statewide, county, and municipal elections this year. I'd love to have others chime in.
I just heard on the KC news today that there is a group trying to recall a city council member. That could play into the election cycle later in the year. |

6. I'm really excited about this.
I hope someone takes Hartzler out. She's horrible for district 4.
