Anyway,Chuck is whining and moaning about his guns and talking about tyranny. I'm embarrassed to have him as my sheriff.

enlarge so that you can somewhat make it out....The last sentence reads "I will use all means legal to meet this solemn and sacred responsibility" (referring to his belief that he has the duty to take on the Federal Government if any "legislation, executive order impedes, erodes, or otherwise diminishes their [sic] constitutional right to bear arms"... He also indicates intent of soliciting other sheriffs in this.

But he's well liked around these parts,even with all the rumors about him. Personally, I always thought he was a bit of a jerk known to pick on minorities and the LGBTQ community.

There's a Johnson Co right on the border of Kansas and one county over the border in Missouri. They're both part of the KC metro/viewing area.

His brother is a state rep who is very active in the tea party. And yes, he's a nutcase.

13. Chuck is friends with the Blunt family.

Matt used to visit years ago when he was Secretary of State. Once he became governor he dropped Chuck like a bad habit.

Chuck was also buddy-buddy with the Ashcrofts until John turned him down for a security job when he became Attorney General.

He's deeply embedded in the party in Missouri. If he's making this public it's with their implied consent.
