Heitkamp keynote speaker for Montana Democrats
HELENA — Heidi Heitkamp, former U.S. senator from North Dakota, will be the keynote speaker July 13 at the Montana Democratic Party’s 2019 Officers Convention in Helena.
Monica Lindeen, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party, said “Heitkamp knows what matters to those of us who call rural places like Big Sky Country home.
The 2019 Montana Democratic Party’s Officers Convention will be held at the Delta Hotels Helena Colonial from July 12-13. A more detailed schedule for the weekend will be released soon.
Heitkamp served as the first female senator elected from North Dakota from 2013 – 2019. She stood up for Native American children; fought for working families; worked to stop human trafficking; pushed for affordable health care; helped address the detrimental impact exposure to trauma can have on children; helped craft and pass meaningful bank reform and fought for a true all-of-the-above energy strategy.
