Democrats gather in Helena for convention
HELENA – Montana Democrats met in Helena this week to elect new party leaders and hear from candidates for state and federal office in the 2020 election.
Mary Sexton, outgoing chair of the Montana Democratic Party executive committee, said the party “is alive and strong.”
“We’re at 42% Democrats in the state Legislature,” she told nearly 100 delegates. “What we have in common is our strength.”
Robyn Driscoll of Billings, a former state lawmaker, was named party chair.
