DiD You Feel That?!

I've lived in Clark County for more than 10 years and today was my first earthquake here. It was centered in Caliente and sources put the magnitude between 4.8 and 5.4. I'm still nervous because of the earthquake fault under Frenchman's Mountain (the big mountain on Vegas's east side). The neighbor next door didn't feel it (but he's from Hawaii and it probably doesn't count unless there is lava).

How is everyone doing?

I knew right away what it was (I once lived in an earthquake prone area). My husband thought that I snuck up on him and wiggled his chair until he looked around and saw that nobody was there. It was his first earthquake ever.

Needless to say, I was freaked out and shaky. We don't have earthquake insurance and because of that large fault running under the mountain. The Weather Channel even did an entire episode of It Could Happen Tomorrow about what would happen if a big earthquake hit Las Vegas.
