Fresh bear poop in Voorhees State Park, this morning.

At least one bear is not in hibernation.

How about pattern of low temps in the last few weeks?

Or could this be a bear that has identified supplemental resources, both in terms of food and shelter?

I'm no expert, btw, just one interested in critters and the workings of the natural world.

Smarter than the average bear! Must be a lot of pickinic baskets with pies and sandwiches.
