NM's big loser bids to chair the party of... losers!
New Mexico went entirely blue in ALL federal and statewide races!
steve pearce (R-NM-02) who was soundly trounced (by 14 points) in his bid for governor has thrown his hat into the ring to chair the New Mexico republican party. His press release reads:
“I seek the Chairmanship of the Republican Party of New Mexico not for the title, but instead for the opportunity to help create a new beginning for our party and a path to prosperity for our state.”
I’m not sure how a trump-kissing member of the Freedom Caucus is going to create a “new beginning” But I’m going to laugh my ass off when he loses this one as well.
