Gov. Cuomo's campaign fund to pay for Israel trip

Gov. Cuomo is not billing taxpayers for his good will mission to Israel.

The Cuomo administration revealed Tuesday that Cuomo’s campaign organization – which reported having $32.5 million in its coffers last week - will pick up the tab for the governor and members of his staff who are traveling to Israel this evening to show solidarity with the Jewish state.

“The trip to Israel is an official government trip, however to spare any expense to taxpayers the campaign will be covering the cost for the governor and his staff,” an administration official said. “The delegation members are paying separately.”
