125 pre-K children relocated to alternate sites

Sally Goldenberg

As of Wednesday afternoon, 125 pre-kindergarten children have been placed in alternative sites following news the city has revoked permits for nine sites in community-based organizations that had a variety of problems, Mayor Bill de Blasio said.

The nine sites would have housed 265 children and the mayor has vowed to relocate all of them to other sites. Pre-kindergarten starts citywide on Thursday.
