Quinn on Cabrera’s ‘indefensible’ pro-Uganda video

Former City Council speaker Christine Quinn denounced Councilman Fernando Cabrera for a video message praising the government of Uganda, despite its anti-gay laws.

In a video that was reported this week, Cabrera celebrates the leadership of Uganda, one month after it passed harsh measures against homosexuality.

Quinn, who is openly gay, also chastised Cabrera for invoking her in his own defense after the video was reported.
