On the final weekend before the state Democratic primary, Governor Andrew Cuomo began his re-election campaign by touting Kathy Hochul, his designee for lieutenant governor, at two events: a Labor Day Parade in Midtown and a campaign rally in Flushing.
"God forbid, I have a heart attack, I don't wake up one morning, Kathy becomes governor, she's ready," he said at the rally.
At the parade, Cuomo and Hochul marched alongside Mayor Bill de Blasio, Public Advocate Letitia James, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, Rep. Carolyn Maloney, and Bronx borough president Ruben Diaz, Jr.
Opponents Zephyr Teachout and Tim Wu also marched in the parade, but far in the back.

(13,305 posts)The fact that in a deep blue liberal state he feels like he can govern like an asshole Republican, and run with an even more conservative Lt. Governed, and the fact that the party is getting involved and supporting both of them show me where they stand and what direction this party is heading.
Fuck everyone involved in supporting this piece of crap and his agenda
