Related: About this forumNot the primary victory Cuomo wanted
Liz Benjamin
The votes are in, and Andrew Cuomo and Kathy Hochul are through to the general.
Thats the good news for the governor.
The bad news begins with the fact that the little-known law professors who challenged him, Zephyr Teachout and Tim Wu, drew approximately 35 and 40 percent, respectively, of the Democrats who bothered to show up at the polls.
After avoiding any acknowledgement of his opponents until shortly before the vote, Cuomo finally told reporters on primary day that the only total that mattered was 51 percent.
