Just got back from a Congressional fundraiser for Anna Throne-Holst...
running for the spot in NY 1 on Long Island.
Unfortunately, there's a primary before she (or the other guy) gets to take on Lee Zeldin, the Congressional Teabagger From Hell, but a lot of us, including the three NY Congressmen who endorsed her, are hoping she gets to nail Zeldin to the wall.
Zeldini is a scumbag who ran an unbelievably dirty campaign to unseat Tim Bishop two years ago, and we're all thinking Anna is tough enough to ram a stake through his undead heart.
Anna is not by any means a "mean girl"-- she is not just bright, but her real strength is her honesty and ability to stand up to just about anything. She is also a very nice person, if that means anything any more.
The wine and the food at the vineyard hosting it was good, too.
A perfect night.
