De Blasio supports monitor to oversee ‘broken’ Board of Elections

Mayor de Blasio said he “absolutely” supports a federal monitor to oversee the inept Board of Elections in upcoming Congressional primaries and wishes he could “tear down” the board and start over.

“This thing is broken,” de Blasio said Thursday on WNYC’s Brian Lehrer show. “We need to understand this is a non-functioning part of our democracy.”
