NY-LG: EMILYs List endorses Adrienne Adams in bid for lieutenant governor

EMILYs List, a political action committee aiming to elect female Democratic candidates in favor of abortion rights, has endorsed Adrienne Adams in her bid for lieutenant governor.
Gov. Kathy Hochul tapped Adams as running mate in her re-election campaign in February, creating the first all-female statewide ticket for a major party in the history of the state.
EMILYs List, which stands as the largest political resource for women in politics, endorsed Hochul for re-election in March and announced its endorsement for her running mate last week.
Adams, the former Council Speaker who represented the 28th District in Southeast Queens, helped pass the NYC Abortion Rights Act to expand reproductive health services across the five boroughs. Adams also helped launch the Council’s $1 million Abortion Access Fund Initiative in 2022, marking the largest municipal funds by any city in the US to increase abortion access.
