Spire Installed Atop 1 World Trade Center

One World Trade Center has reached its final height.

Crews installed the final pieces of the building's spire this morning.

The pieces were raised to the top of the skyscraper last week.

With its spire attached, One World Trade now tops out at 1,776 feet.

If you consider the spire part of the building and not just an antenna, it's now the tallest building in the western hemisphere.

It's scheduled to open next year
