Brooklyn out-of-control SUV kills boy, injures 4

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A 9-year-old boy was killed and several others were injured when an SUV jumped the curb onto a sidewalk in Brooklyn Saturday.

The incident happened at the intersection of Dekalb Avenue and Clermont Avenue in Fort Greene just before 12:50 p.m.

Police say a person driving a Ford Expedition westbound on Dekalb was turning left onto Clermont when it struck another vehicle. The Expedition careened onto the sidewalk, striking a group of pedestrians.

The child was pinned and pronounced dead at the scene.
