NYPD officer hospitalized after Queens fight

RICHMOND HILL (WABC) -- Police are investigating a fight early Sunday morning in front of a Queens restaurant that left an off-duty officer hospitalized.

The altercation between the officer and another man broke out at about 4:30 a.m. on Liberty Avenue in Richmond Hill.

The officer was taken to Jamaica Hospital, and is listed in stable condition.

Witnesses say at least one person was taken into police custody
