(23,720 posts)Yes! she was actually hinting for me to come rake her yard. I told her they fell from the tree before I owned the house so she was going to have to contact the previous owner for cleanup.

(18,219 posts)Funny too. I hear it all the time. I live on a small city lot, with 5 huge old trees along the property line. I love those trees I just hope that I die before they do, but they are messy. My neighbors are always "hinting" that I should get rid of the trees. I just laugh and tell them that will never happen. And no, I do not rake their properties. Like I said, many of the leaves are now in NY.

(111,339 posts)It always waits until all the other trees have dropped their leaves and the city won't pick up green trash without charging for it. It was planted in the wrong spot for useful shade in the summer and it's too close to the house. I suppose my plan to fix my front "lawn" with xeriscape should involve getting rid of it.
They're predicting snow this weekend. I hope the mountains get a good snowpack this year, we need it.
