1. Here in Charlotte I feel like we have good stuff. Touch terminals that print out your ballot.

Then into an optical scanner.

Of course they should be auditing the scanners constantly with partial hand counts.

Which I don’t believe they do.
I’m not that trusting.

That’s systemic and not an equipment issue.

Also I think you should get a coded receipt and be able to verify your vote online.

2. Everything could be about to change. My county has scanned ballots.

The results are immediately tabulated and sent to the State Board Of Elections. They have been in use less than ten years and were a major upgrade at the time.

To me this proposed change is the clandestine GOPers trying to impose changes that are not just expensive but unnecessary and evidence of a systemic power grab over the election board.

Why are they fixing what 'ain't broke' if not to shore up some soft power somewhere?
