(2,010 posts)McCrory was a 1 term R governor, lost his reelection bid to Cooper 8 years ago.
But NC went for tfg in that election, and in 2020 when we reelected Cooper but lost the state supreme court. Go figure. I live here and think it's a strange state.
Voting often seems to be close, and split, and can go either way.
I really hope we have a stronger democratic turnout this year, delivering a Democratic victory for President, Governor, court and congressional seats.

(31,454 posts)in this state. Gov. Cooper seemed fairly confident that Robinson was too extreme for this state, but we can't afford to take any chances. I'm still scratching my head as to how this dude ever got elected statewide.
