Republicans axe NC State student center as an early voting site

Republicans on the Wake County Board of Elections rejected the NC State University student center as an early voting site for the general election, resisting the fervent pleas of speakers who wanted to keep it as a polling place.

The Talley Student Center was used for early voting in the 2012, 2018, 2020 and 2024 general elections and in several primaries, according to Gerry Cohen, a Democrat on the Wake board.

A building about a mile away will be swapped out for Talley under the early voting plan the board approved Friday.

Republicans rejected in a 3-2 vote a plan Cohen offered to keep Talley.

Plenty of State students are barely able to attend and this is just another way to make voting so inconvenient that people will not want to. (College campuses are known to be 'iffy' to rethugs and their regime ideas.)

Rich campus snobs with their brand new BMWs are not included in this assessment, as they will always vote their best interests even when said interests are destructive and dangerous to everyone else.

I don't know why we still pay any attention to the wealthy, but since our heads are obviously still stuck up their asses, we really need to start trying to remove them, eh?
