Newcomer files to run in Fargo School Board election in June
FARGO — A newcomer has declared a bid for a seat on the Fargo Board of Education in the June 9 election.
Jolene Garty announced her candidacy in a Friday, April 3, news release.
Five of the board’s nine members have terms that are nearly up.
Garty has more than a decade of experience at a regional education association, working alongside schools across North Dakota to provide grant and legislatively funded programs, the release said.
