Minot mayoral candidates speak on upcoming election

MINOT, ND (KXNET) — Changes are coming to Minot City Hall.

Neighbors in the Magic City are voting for three City Council spots as well as the mayor. Incumbent Mark Jantzer is being challenged by Josiah Roise.

“I hope the voters will agree that over that time in local politics, I have learned many lessons and I am putting them to good use,” Jantzer said, “and that I will do my very best job that I can to represent the citizens of our community and Minot in important conversations.”

“My opponent has been in here for 18 years calling the shots,” Roise said. “The very reason I got involved in the beginning in 2020 is because of what my opponent and others on City Council and the mayor were doing at the time that were just wrong and against the people.”
