Reynoldsburg’s striking teachers, board schedule negotiations for Sunday

As the Reynoldsburg teachers strike reached Day 3, there was a bit of hope that an end could be in sight: Contract talks between the school board and union are scheduled to resume on Sunday.

But for parents and students, the weekend is still pretty far away.

The three school days before then are going to be rough, said parent Lori Van Horn, whose four daughters attend district schools.

“I don’t know why they can’t talk now,” she said. “The superintendent has been sighted in several of the buildings. They need to talk and get this done. There is no education going on.”

Why wait until Sunday when everything could be settled before then. This is one area where teachers could help their reputation. Fight to negotiate today. I think this article came out Tuesday if kids have been out of school 4 days ready.

That said, there may be and probably are very valid reasons to hold the talks when they are scheduled. Possible that the district could not meet until that point. It does require two sides to hold talks.

3. Huffmaster wants to make sure they keep the strike long enough to maximize profits.

The amount of money flying out of the district into the hands of these scam artists is shocking and probably illegal, if there was not a republican prosecutor who will never investigate the activities of the school board or superintendent.

The amount of money is taking from the students to spend on this company is outrageous.
