moved into place today. The structure is 830 feet long and weighs 8.2 million pounds (4100) tons. It took 2 years to assemble the structure on land in Wellsburg WV. Today the bridge was loaded on four barges turned 90 degrees and floated over a mile down river and raised 81 feet to its permanent piers over the Ohio River. The work is supposed to be completed in the fall of 2022 costing $148
million total.
