I'm curious if anyone has any strong feelings about the 3 SoS candidates?

Oregon Secretary of State ... Who should I vote for?

Richard Devlin
Brad Avakian
Val Hoyle

Thanks for any input!

1. I voted for Avakian.

IIRC from the voters pamphlet, he had a real good progressive record as labor secretary.

4. They all do.

Yet, that's all he focused upon. I found it rather disingenuous.

3. I voted for Hoyle

She's gotten a lot of progressive things done in the legislature and she's the only person who has a person of color listed as an endorser in her voters pamphlet. Shows that equity is more than just lip service for her.

5. I did, too.

Would have gone to Devlin, as Avakian seems to be touting the part of his progressive background that is exactly the same as the other two, but ignoring everything else.

6. I was torn between

Avakian and Hoyle; I ended up on Avakian based on his list of endorsements, which included my own OEA and the Working Families Party. I could have been convinced to vote for Hoyle, but I had her pamphlet statement, and not enough other information.
