1. We've had a couple days right around 100F. NOT ok.
Today ONLY 90F is forecast. I guess it's an improvement.

2. Ouch! Yeah, my girlfriend's sister is up from California and I asked her yesterday what...
...the weather was like where she was. "90's...sometimes 100." My jaw dropped. Here in Eugene, I don't know what the exact temperature has been lately but mostly in the 50's and 60's as far as the high goes.
It's still overcast here right now. Had to imagine the day's going to turn out so nice but that's pretty common until the summer really kicks in. You can give us a lookie-loo through this remote controllable webcam at the Owen Rose Gardens. It's just a bit north of downtown Eugene. Owen Rose Garden Webcam PB |

3. That webcam is pretty cool
I'm a couple of hundred mile north of you and we're supposed to break 60 today. It's been a miserable spring.

4. Oh, I have a feeling it'll be getting plenty hot in Oregon/Washington this summer.
The NOAA state rankings for March of this year were mostly off the charts!
![]() If we're lucky, the general numbers for Oregon and Washington will hold. But I don't think they will. PB |

6. Of course now it's gonna be in the low 60s this coming week with a chance of rain.
The poor plants on my balcony. I almost lost my new ROSEMARY plant, for pete's sake, in the heat yesterday (of course water would have helped with that, lol).

5. Ah, beautiful. Went down to the Saturday Market, got a big plate of pad thai from...
...Bangkok Grill (with the obligatory peanut sauce, of course) and then wandered through the comforting freakishness of it all. Dappled sunlight playing over everything and everyone. The drumming coming from Wayne Morse Free Speech plaza. The hint of pot smoke on the breeze. Easy smiles.
Women and girls with tinkling bracelets and flower-wound hair, dressed in such an earthy and sublime fashion as to make the queens of lost Lemuria gawk in jealous wonder... PB |

7. If it would only STAY in th 70s.
I dread the warming up every spring, because it doesn't last. I hate heat.
This weekend is beautiful. The 6 acres of rocks and millions of weeds sprouting aren't. I'll still enjoy the weekend. ![]() |
