I'm fed up with Govenor BrownLast edited Thu Jan 21, 2021, 05:37 PM - Edit history (1)
No vaccinations for disabled and elderly until next month or later Maybe those 80+ will be vaccinated next month.
Why? Because she wants schools to reopen and they'll be vaccinating teachers and staff. Schools are reopen and reopening now. During the worst time of the worst pandemic. In the meantime, they haven't finished vaccinating healthcare workers or long term care residents. The elderly are welcome to die and continuing to overwhelm our healthcare system. 14. No debate necessary. Your post is so ill-informed it warrants no further discussion.

2. I still have to go out and get a job only being 59 and in the group of 31-64 yr olds. Brown has
done an excellent job with covid.
Trump hasn't done terrific with distribution. Isolate. I am too. I get I am not gonna be top on the list and yet, I feel 60 puts me at risk, too. |

4. No she hasn't
She delayed a shutdown for weeks longer than WA while people on the coast begged her to shutdown.
Hospital funding is being cut after promises to increase funding because of passing the new tobacco and vaping taxes. The VA has vaccinated all their healthcare workers twice as well as residential care, cancer patients and all veterans getting on-going care at hospitals. They started scheduling all 65 & older for vaccinations now. Reopening schools against the wishes of teachers. Praying someone decent primaries her. |

10. Are you sure you're on the right website?
I mean..this is Democratic Underground. I'm concerned...unless you live East of the Cascades, that is. Then I fully understand this ill-informed post.

15. I have mixed feelings about this
On the one hand we are retired and the teachers are working in a very tough environment with kids that are struggling. On the other hand my neighbor and his wife both teachers working remotely at school now no kids before at home, took 3 vacations this year one in Florida.
If they were being like us wearing masks all the time and seldom going places I won't feel as I do, but watching pool parties, friends coming over etc it has been tough. Hopefully most teachers in Oregon are not like them. This is the DU member formerly known as marlakay.
