(7,911 posts)1. I can literally see 126 off in the distance from my front porch...
...but I avoid driving on it whenever possible.
It's scary as crap the further east you get from Springfield, but even in town there have been an awful lot of pedestrian fatalities over the years.

(14,914 posts)2. I drive on 126 regularly from the coast. In a lot of places there is very little shoulder to get
over to, if an accident happens there's no place to go except into the trees or river.
