Secretary of State: 37.51% ballot return rate in primary election
SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — According to Oregon’s Secretary of State, 37.51% of ballots were returned for yesterday’s primary election.
As of 8 a.m. this morning, 1,164,083 ballots had been returned.
This year's primary featured a controversial transportation referendum, and a packed Republican field looking for the nomination to face Governor Tina Kotek in November.
Clackamas, Washington and Multnomah counties accounted for roughly 40% of all ballots received.
