4. I love the coast

But my favorite parts are the backroads in Central Oregon. There's a stretch between Madras and Prineville where its flat out straight. You can see 5 miles down the road. I'm not a speed demon, but I think I topped out at 120.

edited to add: at 120 I realized how stupid it was and slowed down.

5. I love the coast and the gorge

and pretty much all of the Portland area. I've driven back and forth between Southern Oregon and Portland and Portland and Eastern Oregon quite a bit so those are the areas I see the most. A few times I've driven through the middle of Oregon further south down by Christmas Valley and then up through Burns. Was with my wife and mom four years ago and went through an area where there were cows on the road. I got out and started "mooing" and one of the mom cows got really pissed at me. Meanwhile my mom is yelling "get back in the car". Wacky times....

8. I hope to

stay in OR for a couple of months one of these years. Just rent a little place and take a break from the relentless sun of L.A. I'm thinking Eugene because I need a break from the big city....

9. I lived in SoCal (Pasadena)

I would take the day off when it rained for the first time in the fall. It made me feel right.
