I don't know where to post this, so I guess here
Last night I went to the local convenience store. Some guy was 20some cents short of what he wanted (those cheap cigars with the wooden tip). I told the cashier to put them on my bill. I've felt good all day. 1 dollar of kindness goes a long way.

4. Little acts of kindness really do go a long way.
I was angry when I was younger. But not being a dick is a good way to make people like you.

5. Glad to see you, too, Jeffrey
I'm from the Portland area myself (Vantucky, to be exact) and I sure do miss the Northwest. May it come around, and someone buys you a nice microbrew (I'd do it if I were there, just for the sheer joy of being back in the NW). You embody the generous spirit of the Northwest.

6. I didn't post this to brag
But I think if people did this every once in a while, it would make the world a better place. You get the benefit of feeling good, and you helped someone out.
ETA: this guy seemed liked someone who just really wanted a cigarillo ( or whatever you call them) and left the house with just enough to pay for it and came up slightly short. Not that you shouldn't help a homeless person |
