My husband and I just deposited our ballots in the official drop box outside our local library.

We were thinking we might vote in person on election day, so that our votes would be tallied earlier. But we have two family members who are very ill right now, to the point where there is a good chance one may die within the next couple of weeks and the other may need our help. If something came up to to take us away from home on election day, we wouldn't get to vote at all, so we settled on the drop boxes the best way to submit our votes this year.

We were disappointed and annoyed to find the attendants were not wearing masks and there was no way to put the ballots in the box without getting within 6ft of them. It was good that only my husband had to get out of the car, and he was allowed to deposit both of our ballot envelopes. He was masked. We know it's less dangerous outdoors, but we believe they should have been also.

Reported this issue, by email, to the county election board with an FYI cc to the local Dem party. Dems immediately got back to us to say thanks for letting them know. Nothing back yet from the county, but they'd be closed until tomorrow.

and acquaintances that they've also submitted their anti-Trump ballots.

One thing we discovered through, through them, was the not widely publicized (or missed by us?) fact that we could have easily gone into the public library a town over, requested a mail-in ballot , filled it out, and submitted it there. Apparently that library is among a number of places serving as satellite locations for the election board. Still not counted until election day, so not really early voting, but still, a good option for many.

no issues at all. Three people manning the early drop location, one of which was county security.

this year. Reminds me to have my husband contact a buddy of his who was so sure Hillary would win last time that he didn't bother to vote. All hands on deck.
