The Center for Disease Control and Prevention lists Pennsylvania as having the fourth-lowest rate among the 50 states and District of Columbia, behind South Dakota (which updates its numbers only on Wednesdays), Vermont and Maine.
There were 754 people hospitalized as of midday Monday, compared with 733 Sunday. Of those, 185 were in intensive care, and 90 were on ventilators.
