I learned he supports school vouchers which are, fundamentally, designed to end public education by funding private schools.

Vouchers have blown up the budget in AZ.

However, there was an argument I'd heard years ago that it allowed minority students to escape to a better school if they were relegated to lousy SDs.

I think it would be better to fix the bad schools, but easier said than done.

I love him as our governor (but don't like the school voucher issue) and I think he'll do great for the state; however, given the wide
anti-Semitic streak in this country, having a Jewish first husband and a Jewish VP might cause problems for the ticket.

Trying to recognize things for what they are - and recognize that the fear in stupid/bigoted people tends to override their self-interests. It's how we got the first FFF 45 presidency.
