http://www.esquire.com/blogs/politics/tom-corbett-pennsylvania-approval-rating-050213Excerpt:
"If you want to see a politician with the gallows in his eyes, take a look at Tom Corbett of Pennsylvania, whose re-election prospects at the moment look like an offer for a free introductory case of cholera.
'Pennsylvania voters disapprove of the first-term Republican's job performance 47-38 percent (which follows a four-month trend of bad numbers for the incumbent).... '
Tom's got a ready reply, however, for the news that his approval rating has sunk to the bottom of the Marianas Trench. The incredibly unpopular policies he's put in place just haven't really kicked in yet."

(28,394 posts)2. We can't take that for granted.
He has all that oil and gas money behind him and PA voters rarely kick out an incumbent governor. I can't remember any actually.
Whomever our candidate is.... (and we have a couple of good names so far)..... we have to get out there and work our butts off to get rid of the evil core-butt.

(3,283 posts)3. Never underestimate the stupidity of voters.
In a sane world Mr Magoo would be 20 points ahead of either Sanford of Cuccinelli(sp) but alas they are ahead or tied in their respective races.
