http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/20140926_AG_Kane_reveals_X-rated_emails.htmlThese top officials had some strange fetishes. Too many of the pieces were supposed to be funny pornographic jokes about having men having sex with their secretary. These emails so far cost taxpayers a chunk of change in a sexual harassment suit by female employees of the office.

"The videos have titles such as Cigar, Chin strap, Golf Ball washer, and Rocking Horse. The photographs included naked women and motivational posters, with slogans such as Devotion and Willingness, that depicted women performing sex acts on their male bosses."
All of these emails were thought to have been permanently deleted before the Dems took control of the Attorney General's office. However, a sharp IT guy was able to recover them as part of the investigation into Corbett's long-delayed Sandusky investigation.

(28,394 posts)She showed them to the press because some newspapers sued to have them released, as I recall. It sounds to me like she picked out some of the most salacious of the images, for shock value. Could be for political value, too, to embarrass Corebutt.
I just wonder if there will be any legal consequences. Most (if not all) of these people are no longer serving in state government.

A guy cannot necessarily be blamed for having been a recipient. They have not yet named the people who were responsible for sending most of them, because of complicated legal reasons. A couple of the recipients are still high ranking state officials.

(6,819 posts)It is one thing that some guys were looking at porn on their work computer. What is more important is that they felt comfortable creating a culture of sharing porn between each other. These were not summer or clerical employees - they were high ranking male employees. It was particularly troubling that so much of the porn they shared was based upon sexual harassment of subordinate female employees.
I guess they were preoccupied and didn't have time to file criminal charges for ALMOST THREE YEARS AGAINST SANDUSKY.

This morning's PPG headlined, "Corbett wants facts on explicit emails" I guess he's in a better position to demand the "complete information" now that AG Kathleen Kane pointed us to it. Yes He needs the facts, as he slithers through Pittsburgh on the campaign trail.
Let's get him the facts

(6,819 posts)According a news article in this morning's paper, the head of the PA. State Police was falsely implicated in the distribution of porn videos and sexual harassment jokes. According to a follow-up investigation, some of the emails were sent to him, but he did not even open them. Most importantly, he didn't send or forward any.

(6,819 posts)Keep this in mind. While many top officials in Corbett's Attorney General's office were trading porn on State computers and State email systems, the top priority of the office was to put State officials in prison for mis-using State staff-time and computer systems.
According to some reports, after Corbett's first prosecution fell apart in court for mis-use of State funds in Bonusgate, Corbett pulled off investigators off other important matters (including the Sandusky investigation?) so that he would not be embarrassed by any more failures.
