Kathleen Kane Convicted on All Counts

In front of a republican judge.
Being a Pennsylvanian, imo her mistake was going after the good old boy network here.

I think she was quite brave in taking these people on.
The republican judge seems to have cut off her main avenue of defense, the fact that she angered the good old boys by exposing some of their activities.

Sad to see her being thrown under the bus for the sake of political expediency.

She was cleaning out corruption in Pa., and was railroaded for doing it.

During the trial, Kane declined to testify, and her defence team did not call a single witness to the stand.
She claims to be the victim of an "old-boys" network that are taking revenge on her for revealing lewd messages sent by government employees using state email servers.
Those embarrassing emails led to the resignation of two state Supreme Court justices, and other top government employees.
"What she did while she was the attorney general, the fact she would commit criminal acts while the top prosecutor, is a disgrace,'' assistant district attorney Michelle Henry said after the verdict."

From the NY Times article about her resignation:

Over a weeklong trial in a stately courtroom here, Ms. Kane was accused of concocting a scheme to get back at another prosecutor, Frank Fina, who she believed was behind an unfavorable news article about her office dropping an investigation into Democratic lawmakers in Philadelphia. Soon after, prosecutors said, Ms. Kane orchestrated the leak of secret grand jury information about a 2009 investigation into the finances of an N.A.A.C.P. leader that Mr. Fina chose not to pursue.

Sorry, but it is inappropriate and unseemly to defend this conduct, regardless of who the targets were. Her initial motives may have been good, but she allowed her own zealousness for her cause to cloud her judgment.

7. I think she has grounds to appeal her conviction

The judge wouldn't allow her to bring up her defense of retaliation by the "old boy network". I think she was set up.
