1st priorities: Casey - Jobs; Toomey - sanctuary cities

Not really a surprise, but our Democratic senator, Bob Casey, focused his first 2 bills in the new senate year on jobs and the economy and our GOP senator, Pat Toomey, introduced his first bill on punishing sanctuary cities like Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

Toomey wants to "support our law enforcement people."

What a frickin' crock this guy is - and the "great" state of PA gave him another 6 years!

2. I called his local office

a couple days ago with the message that he'd campaigned on being a check on Trump. I told the staffer to pass along that I believe Sessions is unfit to be the US Atty Genl and that Toomey should vote against his confirmation.

Toomey's a real piece of work, but he keeps his finger to the wind, so maybe enough calls will make him nervous.

3. I believe PA is one of the most gerrymandered states in the union.

Usually many more votes are cast for Dems, but the Rs keep control. A Democratic vote is worth less and that is the same reason Trump won.

4. Toomey's our GOP US senator, not a rep

so the entire state is his constituency.

5. I wonder if he knows that. He seems to think

his constituency consists of a very small minority of very wealthy and/or very RW people. The rest of us can die for all he cares. (Only those don't want to die, though.)
