Yes! I love PA, but am so tired of people who know of nothing west of the Susquehanna...

...or think that "Philadelphia" and "Pennsylvania" are synonyms.

And there are far too many of them.

I am from suburban Pittsburgh, in Westmoreland County. A few years ago I took part in a so-called "statewide" political training; their Philly-based staff listed me as being from NW Pennsylvania in the Erie area because they figured what the heck it's somewhere out west and that's close enough.

Yes Skinner, please change or delete the group description.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
