1. What I find confusing

is the police have said from the beginning they did not believe this was not an abduction. She was found dead and as of now an unidentified male was also found dead in the same neighborhood. Are they connected?

2. No word yet that the two bodies are connected

I took the “not an abduction” statement to mean a random abduction by a stranger.
They were emphatic today that the family is “fully cooperating.” Who wouldn’t fully cooperate with police if a family member was missing? I took that to mean that someone in the family might be under suspicion.

3. This just gets weirder and weirder

They found her body in an area they had searched before. In the woods behind where they have been giving press conferences all week. The guy they found dead had no criminal history at all and did not know the family.
