Texas Tea Partiers Want Louis Gohmert For Senate

Just when you think things can't get weirder in the Texas GOP (aka the Gathering Of Psychotics): the tea party faction wants Louie Gohmert to make a run for John Cornyn's position.

Unfortunately for the Tea Partiers, Gohmert isn't interested.

Does anyone think that if the Republicans run a whack-a-doodle-doo candidate for Cornyn's seat next year, Texas Democrats have a chance of recapturing Lloyd Bentsen's seat?

1. I think we would have a good chance.

Because Cornyn would have to lower himself to their level in order to "compete."

Now, I don't know how good our chance would be. At the very least, Cornyn would survive, but he likely would have damaged his image, which would be a good thing

But we would need a real candidate with real money behind them. You can't beat someone with no one, even if that someone if a clown like Gohmert.
