I will be there along with Juanita Jean who has promised that she has some new jokes. Chairman Hinojosa will be there and it should be a fun event. We are holding the event at Tom DeLay's country club.

Last Friday night brought more than 200 Democratic activists from the greater Houston area to Sweetwater Country Club for a Fort Bend Democratic Party Fundraiser, entitled "Noche Azul." The Party is striving to turn Fort Bend County "Blue" this election cycle. In 2012, Fort Bend was just 2 percentage points away from electing Democrats countywide in this former Republican stronghold.
The keynote speaker was Congressman Joaquin Castro of San Antonio. Congressman Castro and his twin brother Julian, the Mayor of San Antonio, were featured speakers at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
Congressman Castro called upon dinner guests to stand and deliver Texas to Democrats. He urged Democrats to insure that President Obamas programs were not killed in congress or thwarted from implementation by Texas Republicans.
Again, this was a great event
