(182,046 posts)It was a great convention. I am very impressed with Chairman Hinojosa and the team he has put together. I was back in the green room for a while re-writing the committee report of the rules committee and I was impressed at how well everyone worked. The rules committee was next up after the candidate for land commissioner who preformed a great song. It was interesting watching him from behind while he preformed.
The chair of the rules committee was happy no one raised any objection or made me explain the actual wording of the rules changes. It was a long but great convention
Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
