Abbott needs to be called out on his debate lie

I thought it was odd that he wouldn't cite the specific law, so I did some of my own research. (you may recall that I asked about that here) I figured that there was some law that he was misinterpreting or twisting slightly.

There is no such law. Period.

In 2011 a bill was passed, HB 2454, that requires notice to the A.G. whenever a suit is filed which questions the constitutionality of a law passed by the legislature. It also requires 45 days notice to the AG before a final order can be entered by the judge.

It says absolutely nothing about settling or continuing any kind of lawsuit.

1. Well, Abbott is a republican so

he is well practiced in the art of lying, distorting, and obfuscating. He's had two mentors in that regard: bush and perry.
